Between vision and reality – traveling in a vulnerable world

Our planned route takes us eastward—from Europe through Asia to South America and Africa, once around the globe. But we know that this world is not only beautiful, it is also vulnerable. The political and humanitarian situations in countries such as Israel, Iran, India, and Pakistan currently make safe land routes impossible.

We travel with open eyes – and open hearts. Our path will change. We will have to adapt: to circumstances, borders, crises, and opportunities. So our route is not fixed. What remains is our attitude: to travel mindfully, flexibly, and peacefully – as far as the world will take us.

We hope to cross the ocean on a cargo ship at some point, perhaps from Asia to South America – or in a completely different direction. Time will tell which stages are possible and when.
